Detox 2015 - Detox foods and supplements

The are many amazing foods, tonics and vitamins that are great for a detox. Here we have selected a few of our favourites: Kale

  • Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar works wonders for your skin and by regulating the pH levels. Its alkalising properties help to flush out toxins and boost your body's immune system. It is also know to assist with weight loss, reduce hunger and prevent fat build up. Apple Cider is best taken on an empty stomach first thing in the morning or before meals, it is commonly combined with lemon juice and honey.

  • Chlorophyll

Chlorophyll is a green pigment found in plants. Chlorophyll is almost identical to hemoglobin (Our blood is 75% hemoglobin), it helps to rebuild our red blood cells which are important for energy and wellbeing. Greens foods are important for alkalising the body, and all green foods contain chlorophyll. Chlorophyll also helps to remove toxins and metals form the body, treats bad breath and body odour and boosts the overall immune system of the body.

Colon Cleanse helps to detoxify the body with its cleansing ingredients. The fiber helps to move toxins out of the body, and the peppermint and papaya help with digestion.   • Spinach

Spinach has so many health benefits so no matter what your goal you can add this alkalising green vegetable to your diet. Spinach is high in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and once again there is a huge amount of chlorophyll in it so it's great for cleansing the colon and the blood. Baby Spinach is commonly used in green salads and smoothies, and your larger spinach varieties are best steamed or boiled alongside other vegetables.
